Nepal honoured in India as the best destination for adventure tourism

Kathmandu, Nov 29: Nepal has been honoured as the Best Destination of the Year for adventure tourism. The recognition was awarded during the India International Travel Mart (ITM) Award Night 2025 held in Pune, India.
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) board member Narendra Bhatta and senior officer Narayan Basyal received the award on behalf of the Board.
During the award ceremony, Board senior officer Robin Regmi gave a presentation highlighting Nepal’s diverse tourism attractions, including the Buddha Circuit, Ramayana Circuit, and transnational eco-trails, among others, during the destination presentation session.
Through this presentation, Nepal informed the participants about sites listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, spiritual pilgrimage routes, world-class trekking routes, and opportunities for mountaineering and thrilling adventure sports available in Nepal.

According to senior officer Regmi, Nepal’s meaningful participation in ITM Pune 2025 is expected to help strengthen Nepal’s relations with the Indian tourism market and promote Nepal as an “All-Season Destination” and a “Destination offering lifetime experiences.”
The NTB, in cooperation with 15 major travel trade companies, prepared the presentations for the ITM.
The three-day event is attended by travel trade representatives, tourism entrepreneurs, and tourists from various countries around the world.
NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi said that the meaningful participation of the NTB and its partners in the ITM has helped increase interest and attraction toward Nepal in the Indian market.
