Kathmandu, June 16 (RSS):
Minister for Urban Development Sita Gurung has said that two cities among 10 along the Mid-Hill Highway would be developed as the model towns.
At a press meet on Thursday, she said that the two cities would be developed as the model towns by taking loan assistance from the Town Development Fund.
Plans have been forwarded to development Basantapur of Tehrathum and Sanfebagar of Achham district.
To implement the plan, the Fund is to give 50 per cent in loan and 50 per cent others would be managed from the Ministry, according to Gurung.
Likewise, Gurung said that citizen housing programme has suffered for lack of sufficient budget though the demand for this programme is high from public level.
