Muktinath Bikas Bank has become the official banking partner of Janakpur Bolts in the NPL.

Muktinath Bikas Bank partners with Janakpur Bolts for NPL Season 3.

Kathmandu. Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited has become the official banking partner of the ‘Janakpur Bolts’ for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). An agreement to this effect has been signed between the bank and the team.
The bank has expressed pleasure in collaborating for the third edition of the NPL, which is set to begin on Kartik 9. The bank stated that this partnership was formed with the objectives of fostering the professional development of Nepali cricket, enhancing the capabilities of players, and expanding economic activities through sports.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has granted official ‘List A T20’s status to the matches of the third edition of the NPL. Since this allows players’ performances to be included in official international records, it is expected to provide Nepali players with further opportunities to showcase their capabilities.
Janakpur Bolts, having won the title in the first edition of the NPL, aims to secure the championship once again by delivering an outstanding performance.
Tara Manandhar, Chief Executive Officer of Muktinath Bikas Bank, stated that this partnership is viewed as an opportunity to connect with the community through cricket, encourage local talent, and contribute to youth empowerment.

Similarly, Niroj Khatiwada, Chief Executive Officer of Dream Sports Pvt. Ltd.—the company managing the Janakpur Bolts—expressed his happiness at having Muktinath Bikas Bank as an official banking partner. He noted a parallel between the bank’s philosophy—that “the bank should go to the people, rather than the people having to go to the bank”and the Janakpur Bolts’ own journey of connecting with the people of the Madhesh region.
According to Khatiwada, the official recognition from the ICC has made this season even more significant for the players. He expressed confidence that the collaboration with the bank will provide an extra boost to the team—both on and off the field—while also strengthening the shared goal of encouraging young talent from Madhesh.
Muktinath Bikas Bank, which has consistently prioritized customer-centric service, innovation, and financial inclusion, has stated that through this partnership, it aims to contribute to the development of Nepali cricket while further strengthening its relationship with the community.
