Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has received the ‘Best Bank Award’ for 2026. This is the third consecutive year that the bank has been honored with this award, presented by the international financial publication *Global Finance*.
The bank had previously received this recognition in 2024 and 2025 as well. The award was accepted by the bank’s Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Suman Pokharel and Deep Chandra Regmi, at a ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Global Finance stated that it evaluated the bank based on criteria including the mobilization of financial resources, institutional credibility, digital reach, business partnerships, the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable lending, and risk management.
Global IME Bank is the first Nepali bank to receive the ‘Best Bank Award’ from Global Finance. The bank has previously received recognition for its banking services from various other international organizations.
The bank has stated that receiving this international honor for the third consecutive year serves as an encouragement to continue making its services even more effective.
