KATHMANDU — The Pokhara Avengers play the Sudurpaschim Royals today in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The match starts at 5:00 PM at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Pokhara wants a win in their first game of the season. Captain Kushal Bhurtel leads the team. Pokhara added strong players and foreign stars this year. Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan makes the team even stronger.
Sudurpaschim lost their first match to the Lumbini Lions by seven wickets. The team scored only 87 runs because their batting struggled. Coach Misbah-ul-Haq plans to fix these weaknesses for today.
Sudurpaschim beat Pokhara in past NPL tournaments. However, Pokhara has a much stronger squad this season. Both teams need a win today to climb the points table.
